Carer's Outreach and Local Support Groups

Carers First

If you look after someone, who due to ill health, physical or mental illness, disability, frailty, or addiction cannot manage without your support then you are a carer and you may want to talk to someone about your caring situation and to discuss what support you may need.

Carers First support unpaid carers living in Haringey, by providing information, advice and guidance looking holistically on all aspects of you as a carer and an individual.

You don't have to wait until you are struggling or there is a crisis to talk to us. If you're looking after a friend or relative, you can talk to someone about your situation and discuss what support you may need.

My Navigator

Carers First is excited to launch its new online tool for carers - My Navigator. Carers answer a few simple questions about where they live and why they visited the site and My Navigator will pull up relevant information and articles from their website without the need to search for advice.

Carers who provide their email address also have the option for the search results and links to be sent to their inbox so they can refer to it at any time.

For those who have a bit more time, there is a 'tell us more' section that asks for a few more details. This enables My Navigator to provide more information, for example details of local support by a specific condition, or information about emergency planning.
