Scaffold/hoarding licence

It is a legal requirement during building work that everyone is safe. All safety guidelines are included with your licence and must be followed at all times.

If all of the work is taking place on private land or property, you do not need a licence.

You must have a licence to put up scaffolding and hoarding on a public:

  • road
  • pavement
  • path
  • footway
