Borough Wide and Utility Permits
A borough wide business permit allows those who operate a business or carry out work within the borough to park in a residential or shared use parking bay throughout the London Borough of Haringey.
Utility companies who carry out work throughout the borough must apply for a utility permit; they cannot apply for a business permit.
Borough Wide and Utility Permits allows parking only in a residential parking bay or in a shared use bay within a Controlled Parking Zone in the London Borough of Haringey.
Holders of Borough Wide and Utility Permits are not allowed to park in Pay and Display only bays. Permit holders should check at all times that they are parked in the correct type of bay.
To be eligible for a Borough Wide Permit the following must apply:
- You must show us that parking your vehicle throughout the borough is essential to the successful operation of your business
- Those involved in building maintenance whether or not it applies to private or public sector housing/buildings
- Those involved in the delivery of essential services to residents and require as part of their job to carry heavy (or hazardous) equipment or materials
Applications for borough wide business/utility permits must be made by post . To apply please complete the Borough Wide / Utility Permit application form (PDF, 92KB) and send it to Permits Department, 3rd Floor, Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, N22 7TR.
A copy of the vehicle logbook, proof of the business location and a business case must be provided when applying. Not supplying them will result in a delay in processing your application.
In order to renew your Borough Wide/Utility Permit you must provide the vehicle's V5 document or logbook, a business case on headed company paper and a filled in application form:
We reserve the right to refuse a permit where the business case does not justify the essential need for a permit.
