Statement from the Leader of the Council
Haringey Council Leader, Claire Kober, has today written to Zina Etheridge, Chief Executive to confirm her decision that she will stand down as Councillor for Seven Sisters ward and Leader of the Council at the local elections in May.
Cllr Kober has been Leader of the Council since 2008. In the past 10 years, she has led the authority through a raft of improvements, making Haringey somewhere where young people enjoy exceptional education and access to the best opportunities in life; a borough that is open for business with opportunities to train and work in industries that will dominate the future economy, and a place that has attracted £500m public sector and £3billion private sector investment.
Cllr Kober’s full statement is attached below.
