Need a Resident Parking permit?

This tool will help guide you through the steps required to apply for a resident parking permit.

Are you a first time applicant?

Do you have a valid vehicle registration document registered to your Haringey home address (log book or V5C)?

Sorry without having a valid vehicle registration document registered to your Haringey home address we will not be able to process your application further. Instead you will need to apply for a temporary permit until your documents have been updated.

  • If you have recently purchased a vehicle and do not have your V5C then you will need to send us a bill of sale (on headed company paper, as well as the new keepers slip V5C/2)
  • If you have a hired vehicle then we will need to see an official hire or lease agreement showing that the vehicle is kept at the address within the CPZ
  • If your new vehicle is a company car, we will need a letter on company headed paper stating that you are the sole user and that the vehicle is kept at an address in the CPZ. We will also need a copy of the hire agreement and a copy of the vehicle logbook (for the emission)


Please note you will need to upload digital copies of any required documents when completing the application to get your permit. These should be less than 4MB each in terms of file size.

Please ensure that it has been fully paid or that it has been challenged. Otherwise, we reserve the right to refuse a permit application.

  • I move out of the CPZ area for which the permit has been issued
  • I have sold, disposed of, no longer use or keep the vehicle shown on the permit
  • The council cancels the permit or asks me to send back the permit
  • The permit stops being valid for any reason
  • The permit is passed to unauthorized users, defaced or altered in anyway
  • The vehicle exceeds 2.27 meters in height and 5.25 meters in length

Do you have your current Permit Reference Number?

This begins with RS and can be found on your existing Resident Permit.

You need to confirm that you have read the declaration before you can proceed with your application.

Do you have an Applicant ID?

If you do not have or know your unique Applicant ID (4-6 digits) then please email permits-vouchers@haringey.gov.uk, the following information:

  • Full name
  • Full address
  • Resident Permit Reference Number (starts with a RS that can be found on your existing permit)

Your Applicant ID is your unique 4-6 digit reference number. You would have been given this on the letter sent to you enclosed with your first Resident Permit or on your renewal letter. If you have not received your renewal letter or do not have or know your Applicant ID then please email permits-vouchers@haringey.gov.uk, the following information:

  • Full name
  • Full address
  • Resident Permit Reference Number

The easiest way to provide us with your proof of residency is to give us your Council Tax reference number.

If you are not registered for Council Tax then please provide us with a digital copy of one of the following documents as evidence of your address:

  • A signed Assured shorthold tenancy or mortgage agreement 
  • Letter from HM Revenues or Department of Work and Pensions
  • Housing Association or Council Tenancy Agreement
