Events in Parks
Throughout the year Haringey Parks are bursting with activity. Events in parks are an important aspect of park life and Haringey is committed to supporting events that contribute to our vibrant culture, environment and economy.
We have put together a few events questions and answers to provide further information on the benefits events in parks brings to the borough, and the support available if you are thinking about putting on your own event.
If you want to apply to hold an event in any of our parks or open spaces, this can be done conveniently through our online EventApp booking portal (external link).
Before completing the online application, you must contact the Parks Service to check that the park you wish to use is available on the date that you want. Please email email@example.com proving brief details including:
- Name of park and exact location within the park you are hoping to use
- Date and event timings
- Attendance numbers
- Brief description of the overall event and the activities
All event applications must be received within the times stipulated below to allow sufficient time for the event consultation and application process to be completed:
- Small event (up to 500 people) - minimum of 6 weeks before the event date
- Medium event (up to 2000 people) - minimum of 3 months before the event date
- Large event (up to 10,000 people) - minimum of 6 months before the event date
- Major event (more than 10,000 people) - minimum of 9 months before the event date
As part of your application you will need to provide supporting documents. All events are required to have an event safety management plan, event safety checklist, risk assessment, site plan, a completed indemnity form and public liability insurance with a minimum cover of £5 million. Templates are available on the application portal.
Once the park hire agreement has been confirmed, we ask that all event organisers submit the event details into our online What's On calendar.
