Response to story in The People

The People newspaper published a report on 4 December 2011 about a couple who lived in the house previously occupied by the Baby Peter family in which it claimed: "Haringey council had leased the house from property management firm Glassmode but after Peter’s death they handed it back."

This is inaccurate.

The house was not a council property. It was managed by a Registered Social Landlord (RSL) who the council worked with to provide accommodation. The RSL returned the property to the private landlord following Baby Peter’s death.
