Social Work Trainee Scheme
We have changed the way that we train staff to become social workers.
A new trainee scheme started in 2005 with posts being advertised for social work trainees at graduate and undergraduate level.
These are open to anybody, not just our employees and recruitment takes place every year.
We pay all university fees and provide a book allowance. Trainees are also given study days to take over the academic year.
Trainees are supported throughout the programme by the Head of Practice Learning (joint appointment with Middlesex University and Haringey Council).
What would my role be?
As a social worker trainee you will be placed in a social work team supporting children or vulnerable adults. The type of work you will be engaged in is detailed in the job description.
Once appointed trainees work for approximately six to nine months in a social work team during which time they are supported in applying for a place on the social work degree programme with our partner, Middlesex University.
Recruitment has now closed.
