Jobcentre Plus
If you need help looking for a job or vocational course, or need financial support because you are not working, Jobcentre Plus can offer information and advice on what support they can offer to get you back into work, and what benefits you may be entitled to in the meantime. The Jobcentre Plus website (external link) has live jobs and may also be able to answer questions you may have about how they can help. Alternatively, if you want help searching for a job over the phone, you can call Jobseeker Direct on 0845 6060 234 or textphone 0845 6055 255. You can also claim for benefits by phone on 0800 055 6688 (8am-6pm Monday to Friday) or textphone 0800 023 4888.

Training opportunities
Learning new skills and getting work-related qualifications can boost your chances of getting your dream job and progressing in your career. There are many websites which offer online job searches. Most of these allow you to search for work by type, location, salary and keywords, whilst some allow you to submit your CV online so you can be contacted by employers directly. If you are looking for work in the Public or Not-for-Profit sectors you may like to try:

If you are disabled, or have a long-term health problem, you can benefit from specific support through the Working for Health or Workstep projects run under the Haringey Guarantee to help you get a job, and keep a job.
Specialist support for people with mental health problems is available through the charity Richmond Fellowship. It works with people who might otherwise be excluded from the workplace because of mental ill health and offers training, work experience and work placements to help get people back into work. Richmond Fellowship are based at the Clarendon Centre, Clarendon Road, Hornsey, N8 0DJ and can be contacted on: 020 8889 2378.
Mencap Pathway offers employment-related support to help disabled people aged 16-24. This includes identifying progression routes, work experience opportunities, and other sources of support. Mencap Pathway are based at the Selby Centre, Selby Road, N17 8JL and can be contacted on: 020 8808 7454.
