Planning Projects

In addition to the planning policies in the Local Development Framework are the following policy documents:

Planning Briefs for Major Development Sites

Planning Briefs give site-specific planning policy advice, which guide the use and redevelopment of some of the borough’s development sites. Planning Briefs will inform everyone of the constraints and opportunities presented on a site, and guide the type of development that may be accepted in planning terms. Briefs will inform the submission of planning applications. Planning Briefs include:

  • Hornsey Town Hall and Associated Buildings
  • Lymington Avenue Sites
  • Wards Corner and Seven Sisters Underground Station
  • 308 West Green Road (Former Petrol Station Site)

You can find these planning briefs in the attached files section at the bottom of this page.

Master Planning

The main purpose of a masterplan is to improve the efficiency of the planning system and development process, as well as improving the quality of any new development. A masterplan establishes a framework that will be used to assess any future planning applications, and provides advice on the nature of acceptable development, potential uses and design issues.
