Information for Landlords
Latest information for Landlords
The Landlord's Direct Letting Scheme (LDLS) is a scheme for landlords who would like their empty properties to be occupied. The tenants would be those claiming Housing Benefit and in need of accommodation due to low income and a lack of affordable housing.
The landlords manage their own property including dealing with repairs of the building, central heating and other facilities provided.
On commencement of the tenancy we will issue a payment of eight to 11 weeks rent depending on the length of the tenancy.
More information about the LDLS and a Landlord's Guide will be available here shortly.
After consultation with you and listening to the feedback from the Landlord's Forum, we have been updating the information we provide to you as local Landlords.
