How?
These pages are designed to help all Haringey residents who have a housing related enquiry. Here we provide links to all the services that we offer and include a self assessment that can help us offer you direct advice relating to your particular situation. By completing the self assessment we will be able to guide you to the correct service to meet your needs.
In some cases we also invite you attend an appointment with one of our preventions and options officers.
We also provide advice over the telephone, by appointment and through the council's Customer Services Centres.
To speak to a Prevention and Options Officer contact us.
The following information should give you an outline of the main areas of advice that we cover. The booklets which you can download in the attached files section are not complete self-help guides, so if you need further advice please contact us.
|Back to topLooking for somewhere to live?
Finding a place to live can be very difficult. Our leaflet "Finding Private Rented Accommodation", which you can find in our attached files section, gives information about finding private rented properties. We also have information about paying a deposit and low cost home ownership. We have links with a small number of local housing schemes and we can check what is available if you contact us.

Are you experiencing any of these problems?
Notice to leave, disrepair, rent increases/disputes, rent arrears, return of deposit, landlord/tenant disputes, harassment, illegal eviction, Anti-social behaviour. If so contact us.
We will discuss your problem with you, advise you of your rights and try to help you solve the problem.
In cases of harassment and illegal eviction we may also refer you to one of our Tenancy Relations Officers. They will investigate and if they believe there is enough evidence, they may consider prosecuting.
