Local Implementation Plan
Every London Borough has produced a Local Implementation Plan (LIP) to demonstrate how their local transport plans and programmes contribute to the implementation of key priorities set by the Mayor and reflect the transport needs and aspirations of people in Haringey. Funding from Transport for London depends on how well the borough helps fulfil the Mayor’s Transport Aims.
Haringey's LIP was approved by Transport for London in May 2007. The LIP sets outs details of specific transport schemes up to March 2009 with indicative proposals for the two years after that. The document contains the Haringey Transport Strategy along with Plans for Parking, Walking, Cycling, Road Safety and School Travel Plans. The LIP also includes a Strategic Environmental Assessment to ensure that proposals are sustainable and will not damage the environment.
