Recycle At Home
Haringey Council provides a range of services so that residents can reduce, reuse and recycle their household waste. Please see below for more information:
- Green box collection - most properties can receive a weekly collection of a number of materials for recycling
- Green garden waste collections - over 70,000 households have a regular collection
- Food waste collections - over 40,000 households have a weekly collection of kitchen scraps and food waste for recycling
- Recycling for flats and estates - special collections for blocks of flats and estates
- Recycling banks - a network of 75 on-street recycling sites gives residents in flats the facility to recycle paper, glass and cans
- Newspaper and magazine bins - special recycling bins have been set up outside underground and main line railway stations in the borough
- Reuse and Recycling Centres - there are centres in Hornsey and Tottenham where residents can take a wide range of materials for reuse or recycling
- Reusable Nappies - the council offers a subsidy to parents who wish to use reusable cloth nappies
