Alexandra ward by-election

A by-election to elect one councillor in Alexandra ward took place on Thursday 9 October 2008. The by-election followed the resignation of Cllr Wayne Hoban.

Registering to vote

To vote in council and other elections your name must be on the electoral register.

Standing for election

Nomination papers from people wishing to stand for elections must be delivered to the Returning Officer, Civic Centre, High Road, Wood Green, N22 8LE. Arrangements for postal or proxy votes

If you are unable to get to a polling station to vote or do not wish to, you may apply for a postal vote.
