History

The Crouch End Neighbourhood also includes the Hornsey and Stroud Green wards and is situated in the ‘middle’ of the borough. This part of the borough has both affluent and deprived areas.

This team was set up in April 2006 as part of the roll out of Neighbourhood Management Service across the borough. The Neighbourhood Management Team target their work exactly where it is needed, working closely with residents to deliver services that are wanted.

The team are focusing on various projects within the three wards working with Community Groups and partner departments such as Youth Services. Residents have asked us in particular to target much of our work on youth issues such as providing organised activities during the summer holidays and setting up youth clubs such as on the Campsbourne Estate.

Aims and objectives

The Neighbourhood Management team has been working with local residents and traders on a number of initiatives.

• The delivery of the Making the Difference projects which are chosen through the Area Assembly meetings annually.
• Community Street Audits with are led place with local residents which are also attended by local councillors. They give local residents an opportunity to point out problems on the streets and for officers to then take action.
• Community projects on the Campsbourne Estate and in Hornsey such as Christmas Parties and the Festive Lights in Crouch End which were paid for by Neighbourhood Management.
