Upgrading St Ann's library
Upgrade works at St Ann's library will now include full rewiring as well as the new community hall is currently under construction. The library will close on 7 August for the rewiring work, reopening in early September. A mobile library will operate on the site through this period, and local people can also use any other Haringey library.
The new library hall will include a sprung wooden floor, making it suitable for community activities of all kinds. The hall is funded by the Bridge New Deal for Communities (NDC) as part of its £50 million 10 year programme regenerating Seven Sisters and South Tottenham.
"I hope as many local people as possible will make a date for the reopening of the library in September and the unveiling of the new hall in the autumn. This investment by the Bridge NDC and the council will ensure we have a top class facility at the heart of the community"
Cllr Dhiren Basu
Haringey cabinet member for leisure, culture and lifelong learning.
