24 Hour Incident Line: 020 7272 5464

The Parks Constabulary is available 24 hours a day and is responsible for policing the borough’s parks, open spaces and cemeteries.

They help prevent crime and the fear of crime, to make the parks safe and welcoming places, where all the community can enjoy recreational activities. Always on duty to reassure visitors and discourage anti-social behaviour, the presence of uniformed officers also helps to reduce vandalism, dog fouling and graffiti.

Constabulary Officers are highly trained and certified in first aid. They have constabulary powers, which means they can enforce park by-laws and have the power of arrest. All criminal activity is referred to the Metropolitan Police or other appropriate agencies.

A number of patrol dogs work with the Constabulary and each dog is trained to Home Office standards. CCTV is also used to monitor at-risk areas and some officers patrol on motorcycles.

The Parks Constabulary operates in partnership with the Metropolitan Police Service and often gathers evidence used to prosecute criminals.

Criminal activity should always be referred to the Police. In an emergency dial 999

Please feel free to visit the Parks Constabulary at their head office between 9am and 5pm at the Staff Yard, Finsbury Park, N4.
