Albert Road Recreation Ground first won the prestigious Green Flag award in 2006 and has now won it for three consecutive years.

Green Flag Judges Comments

'The Park has open entrances with good signage. There is a very safe feeling throughout park, evidenced by high numbers of females and young children. There is excellent ownership of the park by the local community, including the local schools that benefits wider community. In a site primarily used for formal recreation a good effort has been made to create naturalised areas.'
