Date of birth: 20/10/2006
Christina is a healthy child currently meeting all her developmental milestones. She has lived with her foster carer since aged five months and has a good attachment to her and her family.
Christina’s carer describes her as a very happy, chatty and bubbly child who laughs a lot. She sleeps well and eats all types of food including fruit and vegetables. She loves playing with her dolls and other toys and also loves music and dancing. She is very sociable. She can say several words and loves talking and waving to everyone.
Christina’s mother and maternal grandmother both have learning difficulties. It is too early to determine whether Christina will also develop learning difficulties.
Legal: Care Order/Placement Order
Ethnic Descent: White English
Religion: Non-practising RC
Contact: Direct and indirect contact with birth parents once a year. Possible letterbox contact with two half-siblings.
Family required: One or two parent adoptive family able to offer Christina the nurturing, stability and continuity she will need to help her reach her potential in life. Adopters will need to be able to accept the uncertainty regarding possible future learning difficulties and be prepared to ensure Christina receives any extra help or support needed at school and in other areas of her life.
