Haringey City Growth Business Awards 2008
28 of Haringey’s best businesses battled it out for Haringey Council’s third City Growth Business Awards on Thursday 29 May 2008.
The awards, which took place at Decorium in Wood Green on Thursday 29 May 2008, celebrated those businesses that have made the biggest impact in the borough over the past 12 months.
The awards were introduced by Haringey Council Leader, Cllr George Meehan, with Toastmaster Reuben Lynch hosting the evening.
There were nine awards up for grabs this year: Best Business Support Project; Best Employer; Best Entrepreneur; Best Growth Business; Best Growth Cultural Business; Best New Business; Best Restaurant; Best Retailer; and Most Successful New Creative Business.
Cllr George Meehan said:
“The awards give important recognition to the role that businesses play both in creating employment in Haringey, and also in helping the borough become a more attractive place to live, work and visit."
