Information and advice service

Start Here website - link opens in a new window

If you need information and advice but you're not sure where to turn, our StartHere service may be able to help.

You can access a wealth of information and advice using our StartHere website (link opens in new window).

As part of the council's Haringey Forward programme we have teamed up with national charity StartHere to connect local people to a wealth of information on social, health, housing, education and employment issues. It's an easy-to-use directory of services, advice and voluntary groups.

StartHere is a national charity founded in 1998 after research highlighted the gap between people needing help and being able to access information about the support that is available. It aims to bridge that gap by providing an easy to use self-help service to connect people to the information and services they need, locally and nationally.

StartHere contains information on a wide range of non-council organisations. We are offering a signposting facility to these organisations; we are not directly responsible for the services they provide.

For more information on StartHere see StartHere's website. You can access this website using the link in the useful external links section below.
