How to pay for your care

Community care charges in a residential or nursing home

You or the person looking after your financial affairs will normally receive an invoice for your contribution from the proprietor of the home. We will normally pay the difference between your contribution and the full cost directly to the home.

Alternatively, you can ask the home to collect your pension or benefit income for you. You can also ask the home to look after your personal allowance or, if you wish, this can be paid separately.
