Why are we consulting?
The Council is facing huge cuts to its budget as a result of Government spending plans. The Council recognises the value and importance of the services provided by others on its behalf but has no alternative than to consider, in some cases, reducing or removing some of these services.
This has very serious consequences for services funded by the Council – including adult’s services.
What are we consulting about?
The Council is considering:
- continuing to fund some services;
- reducing funding of others; and
- in some cases ending the funding altogether
We want to know, if the Council did reduce or stop the services you receive, what would be the affect on you?
The Council wants to know how people who use these services will be affected by these changes to adults services delivered in Haringey. Your answers to our consultation questionnaire will be used to help the Council make decisions about the future of services delivered in Haringey,
Who are we consulting?
We are consulting people who have received, or are receiving, a service from an organisation that currently receives funding from Haringey Council. We are also consulting with organisations delivering services, as well as other stakeholders.
How are we consulting?
We are sending out a questionnaire to all service users via their service provider.
We have also held a number of meetings for people to raise their concerns and questions, either through the organisation providing the services or directly to the Council. Meetings will continue until the end of the consultation period.
