Haringey Wheelchair Service

The Wheelchair service offers assessment and prescription for wheelchairs, including powered wheelchairs, and cushions. They also carry out home assessments. You can contact the service directly and request a form, or you can pick one up from your GP or physiotherapist.

Motability Wheelchair and Scooter Scheme

The Motability Scheme enables disabled people to exchange either their Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance or their War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement to get a new car, powered wheelchair or scooter.

British Red Cross offer medical loans, including wheelchairs as well as short term support for independent living.
