Dear resident,
Local government works best when we team up with other agencies and local people, sharing information and putting the needs of our communities first at all times.
In Crouch End, for example, we’ve been sitting down with residents and traders to get an agreed solution to local parking problems.
With people across the borough we are putting the local improvement projects they want in place through our Making the Difference grants, now being showcased nationally as an example to other areas.
With the police we are making Haringey safer, with crime figures going down and an extra £700,000 government grant just announced for extra youth activities.
And with local people in the Hornsey Town Hall Community Partnership Board we have appointed top-quality architects John McAslan to take forward the refurbishment of Hornsey Town Hall as a major arts and community centre.
Together, let’s keep working for a better Haringey.
Cllr George Meehan,
Leader, Haringey Council
