Haringey scoops top award

Haringey Council has won a prestigious national award in honour of its dedicated staff.

The council scooped the That’s Motivation accolade at the annual WOW! Awards, which recognise outstanding customer service and are based entirely on customer nominations.

As well as winning the Motivation award, Haringey was a finalist in two other categories – Most Inspiring Front Liner (customer services officer Garry Graham) and Best Care Provider (Haven Day Centre).

Cllr Joe Goldberg, Cabinet Member for Finance and Sustainability, said:

"In these challenging times working in the public sector is far from easy.

"I recognise that our staff are under increased pressure so for Haringey to be recognised for its good customer service is a fantastic achievement."
