New e-directory launched for legal advice

Publication date: Friday 19 March 2010

A new e-directory for people needing legal advice and information has been launched.

The directory has been compiled by the Haringey Community Legal Service Partnership (HCLSP) - representing legal and advice organisations in the public, community and voluntary sector in the borough.

It provides contact details for a range of organisations, including solicitors, covering areas such as crime, asylum seekers and refugees, consumer advice and welfare benefits.

Cllr Kaushika Amin, Cabinet Member for Community Cohesion and Involvement, said:

"This directory will be a useful tool to help residents go to the right organisation when they want legal help.

"It will mean people can get the best advice and information much more quickly."

The directory is available from our legal advice e-directory page.

The directory is also available at the HAVCO (Haringey Association of Voluntary and Community Organisations) website: www.havcoharingey.org.uk (external link).
