Haringey Nursing Excellence Awards

The first Haringey Nursing Excellence Awards took place at The Old Dairy, Crouch Hill this week.

The awards recognise excellence in the field of learning disability care in seven categories.

Nominations were invited from professionals, service users, carers, and other health and social care staff. The guest speaker was Ben Thomas, Director of Learning Disabilities Nursing at the Department of Health, who congratulated the winners on outstanding dedication to their clients and to the community.

Pictured here is winner, Sarah Ames, a Community Nurse who works for an outreach service supporting people with learning disabilities who may have additional mental health needs.
