Five more years for Haringey's housing management
Publication date: Wednesday 17 March 2010
Homes for Haringey (HfH) will continue to manage Haringey Council's housing stock for another five years after successfully managing the Decent Homes Programme, introducing other improvements in service for its customers and progressing well towards becoming a three star service in its first term of contract.
Signing the management agreement this week, Cllr John Bevan, Cabinet Member for Housing, Environment and Conservation, said:
"Homes for Haringey has progressed the Decent Homes Programme as was agreed when the council stock was transferred to the ALMO five years' ago. We have seen modernisation of many homes and the programme of refurbishment will continue unabated.
"I look forward to continuing our partnership work with HfH in the future while they make an even more significant contribution to rolling out the Decent Homes standard across the borough."
Homes for Haringey chief executive, Paul Bridge, said:
"This is excellent news for Homes for Haringey. Since we launched in 2006, we've been working hard to improve the services we provide to residents and we can now look forward to continuing this work over the next five years."
