Council spending plans for 2009/10 move forward

Wednesday 26 November 2008

Haringey Council budget options for 2009/10 are now out for consultation.

The release of detailed department by department proposals for the coming financial year was approved by the council’s Cabinet last week.

These pre-business plan reviews (PBPRs) will now be discussed with residents, tenants, businesses and partner agencies, and will also be examined in detail by the council’s Overview and Scrutiny Committee.

Recommendations will be agreed in the New Year, after consultation and the announcement of detailed grant allocations to the council from central government. The final decisions on the 2009/10 budget and level of Council Tax will be taken at the Full Council in February.
