Friday 28 November 2008
The Commission for Social Care Inspectorate (CSCI) today published its annual assessment of adult social care services for 2008.
Haringey has been given a two out of three star 'good' rating, with a 'promising' capacity to improve.
Responding to the report, Cllr Bob Harris, cabinet member for adult social care, said:
"I am very pleased we have improved to a 'good' rating.
"This report reflects the work we have done to improve our services over the past few years, with our score moving to two out of three stars.
"I can assure residents and those people who use the service that we are committed to keep on improving."
The council scored highly for the number of adults helped to live at home with intensive care packages, equipment and adaptations delivered within seven working days (98%, second highest in London) and waiting times for care assessments and provision of services.
