The hot spot map at the bottom of the page shows all geocoded crime in Haringey. The Wood Green High Road N22 area is the most prominent area. This also shows as the main hotspot area for streetcrime and violent crime.
|TopStreet Crime
Haringey Police have identified street crime as a problem in all wards, but add that the majority of offences occur in either very isolated areas, such as Alexandra Palace or in the busy main shopping areas of Wood Green High Road, Tottenham High Road and Muswell Hill.
|TopAuto Crime
Car crime is often opportunistic and as a result there is very little or no discernable pattern apparent for this crime. In general, high levels of vehicle crime are found in roads where there is a high density of housing and little off-street parking.
|TopNon - Residential Burglary
This refers to any incidents or burglary committed on premises such as detached garages, gardens, garden sheds and those occupied by a business.
|TopResidential Burglary
The Crime Audit found that the areas most prone to burglary were those which are characteristically isolated and quiet in comparison to surrounding areas.
|TopYouth Crime
The youth crime statistics are those where the suspect is reported as being aged between 10 and 17 years old at the time of the offence.
