Seven Sisters New Deal for Communities (NDC)

This neighbourhood renewal and management programme is one of the 39 flagship New Deal for Communities projects developed as part of the implementation of the National Strategy for Neighbourhood Renewal.

The NDC programme in Seven Sisters is worth £50million over 10 years from 2001 to 2011. It is funded by the Neighbourhood Renewal Unit (NRU) in the DTLR through the Government Office for London (GOL). The programme is managed by a neighbourhood partnership and aims to transform the neighbourhood over ten years.

The main themes for the partnership are:

  • Tackling crime and improving community safety
  • Improving the environment
  • Better housing
  • Raising education achievement
  • Employment, enterprise and training
  • Health
  • Community involvement
