Living Environment

This is a new domain which looks at deprivation in the local environment in two ways: the "inside" environment, which looks at the quality of housing, and the "outside" environment which looks at two measures of air quality and road traffic accidents.

Key points

• Approximately 26% of Haringey Super Output Areas (SOAs) are amongst the 10% most deprived in the country
• There are pockets of extreme deprivation in western Haringey
• Approximately 20% of London SOAs are amongst the 10% most deprived in the country
