Background
State Pension (SP) is paid to males who are over the age of 65 and females who are over the age of 60. State Pension can be both contributory and non - contributory.

- At May 2006, the SP claim rate in Haringey was 94.0 per cent (or 23,280 people); this is down slightly from a rate of 94.3 per cent (or 23,360 people) at May 2005.
