Overseas Trained Teachers
For an Overseas Trained Teacher (OTT) we can offer:
- Management of work permit applications and extensions
- A programme of “familiarisation” courses is currently being developed to provide an introduction to our schools, the national curriculum and associated information
- Excellent induction programme and access to professional development programme and assessment for UK Qualified Teacher Status National pay rates plus London allowance sick pay and access to the pension scheme
- Paid school holidays
- Good transport links with easy access to main rail and international airports.

If you wish to work as a qualified teacher in England you must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). If you trained as a teacher overseas you can work for up to four years as a temporary teacher without QTS.
QTS while working as a teacher: Once you have found a teaching position in a school, you can follow an individual training and assessment programme leading to a QTS. For more information contact:
