Overseas Trained Teachers

For an Overseas Trained Teacher (OTT) we can offer:

management of work permit applications and extensions
a programme of “familiarisation” courses is currently being developed to provide an introduction to our schools, the national curriculum and associated information
excellent induction programme and access to professional development programme and assessment for UK Qualified Teacher Status National pay rates plus London allowance sick pay and access to the pension scheme
paid school holidays
good transport links with easy access to main rail and international airports.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

If you wish to work as a qualified teacher in England you must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). If you trained as a teacher overseas you can work for up to four years as a temporary teacher without QTS.

QTS while working as a teacher: Once you have found a teaching position in a school, you can follow an individual training and assessment programme leading to a QTS. For more information contact:
