City Learning Centre (CLC)

How the City Learning Centre (CLC) can benefit you

The CLC's purpose is to enhance the learning opportunities of pupils by providing

  • better access to, and use of, the latest education technology
  • improving attainment levels and employment prospects
  • increasing staying on rates
  • and reducing truancy rates.

Children who attend the local primary and secondary schools have the opportunities to experience and participate in many of the CLC's ICT based projects and learning activities.

Adults have access to the centre's state of the art facilities via ICT courses and ICT enhanced projects.

Community groups can get involved by having tailor made activities designed for their specific needs.

Teachers and trainers benefit from the centre's cutting edge policy by being able to update and refine their skills.

The CLC is available for local businesses and commerce to host training sessions and conferences.

The CLC is part of the DfES excellence in cities programme.
