Learndirect
Whatever your reason for learning, learndirect is here to help:
- Do you want to get to grips with computers – for work, yourself or your family?
- Are you aiming to gain new skills to get the job you want or be better in the one you have?
- Do you want to improve your reading and writing or brush up on your maths?
At our learndirect centres we understand that finding the right course, at the right level, at a local learning centre is really important to you.
We are here to offer help, advice and support to find the right course and get the most from your learning. You may also be able to work towards a qualification in:
- Literacy
- Numeracy
- Information Technology
Many of our learners have already achieved qualifications, such as:
- the National Tests in Adult Literacy or Numeracy
- and the British Computer Society’s Level 1 and 2 Certificate for IT Users.
Learndirect courses are mainly online using the Internet so you can learn at one of our centres and we can advise you about learning from home.
We will help you to get started with your learning, complete your course and discuss what you can do next.
If you’ve never switched on a computer before don’t worry as we have a course for you.
You can then move on to other courses to help you build your confidence in using computers and different Microsoft software packages such as:
- Word
- Excel
- Access
- Powerpoint
- and Internet Explorer.
If you already use a computer at home or work and want to improve your skills we can also help.
