Local Plan: Strategic Policies Submission March 2011
London Borough of Haringey (LBH) submitted their Local Plan: Strategic Policies and Proposals Map to the Secretary of State on 9 March 2011 for an Examination in Public by an independent Planning Inspector. For further details on the examination please see the Local Plan: Strategic Policies Examination page. The documents that were submitted can be viewed in the Submission Documents table. This table includes all the representations received as a result of the proposed submission consultation (reg 28 consultation) and the schedule of minor changes document, which the council produced as a result of the representations received. Additional Regulation 27 Consultation
As a result of the outcomes to the proposed submission consultation, the council undertook an additional consultation (reg 27) on the fundamental changes made to SP2 Housing and SP8 Employment (consultation document CSSD-03a). The representations received as part of this consultation can be viewed at the bottom of the submissions document table - Representations received during additional regulation 27 stage. Focused Consultation on Schedule of Minor Changes and The Plan for Growth
4 May – 3 June 2011
Haringey Council sought comments on the Schedule of Minor Changes and the Government's publication, The Plan for Growth (March 2011), from those who made representations to the Local Plan: Strategic Policies Proposed Submission (May/June 2010), prior to the Examination in Public (EiP) which took place from the 28 June 2011. The Plan for Growth (March 2011) is available to download from the HM Treasury website (external link).
The Schedule of Minor Changes addresses as many representations as possible through amendments to the Local Plan: Strategic Policies. These amendments clarify policy intent, correct errors and update supporting evidence and legislation. In relation to these Minor Changes it would appear, for the most part, that the individual alterations indicated would have an essentially limited impact upon the Local Plan: Strategic Policies. However, the council is particularly mindful of their cumulative effect, especially the minority which are more substantial in their nature.
Areas so affected, for example, include:
- Changes to SP12 Conservation in response to PPS5;
- The approach to tall buildings;
- Changes to housing targets arising from the draft London Plan; and
- Supporting text relevant to climate change.
