Conservation Area No 12 - Trinity Gardens

A photo of houses beside Trinity Gardens, in the TrinityGardens Conservation AreaThe Trinity Gardens Conservation Area is in the north-centre of the borough and covers a cluster of connected public gardens and green spaces in Wood Green, the significant buildings that face them and a couple of streets off them.

Defined principally by the openness of the chain of linked landscaped green spaces; Trinity Gardens, Nightingale Gardens and Crescent Gardens, alongside the main roads; Wood Green High Road and Bounds Green Road running north-south and east-west, these open spaces are enclosed by mostly nineteenth and early twentieth century two story houses, interspersed with larger religious, educational and institutional buildings. Whilst this is the character for the majority of the conservation area, it is contrasted by the residential streets to the east of Crescent Gardens; narrower, domestic scale and more enclosed.
