Design and Conservation
Architecture and design play an important role in the quality of life of people who live, work and spend time in the borough.
Haringey has a rich architectural heritage and a number of exciting new buildings.
The Design and Conservation Team work to preserve the historic built fabric of the borough and encourage good contemporary design, to help achieve a high quality environment.
We deal with
- Conservation Areas
- Listed Buildings
- Historic Parks and Gardens
- Archaeology
- Historic Street Furniture
- Greening Your Home and Renewable Energy Systems
- Design Awards
- Green Plaques
Please note: the Design and Conservation Team does not provide advice relating to the natural environment or nature conservation (eg biodiversity, bats).
A set of service standards have been produced to provide information on what you can expect from the Design and Conservation service. The Design and Conservation service standard leaflet is available to view in the attached files section below.
