Grants to Tenants

Introduction

If you are renting your property to a tenant who is in receipt of means tested benefits the tenant may be eligible for assistance with heating and insulation, just as if they owned the property themselves.

The application is made in the name of the tenant, but the improvements are carried out to your property. There are no conditions attached to the grant and you will not need to pay it back. All you need to do is consent to the works being carried out.

A Warm Front grant provides up to £2700 worth of heating and insulation improvements to which Haringey Council will contribute a further £2000 where necessary.
