Requesting a review

Applicants who are unhappy with their allocation of housing points, or those who have been offered a property which they consider to be unsuitable due to medical, social or other reasons can ask for a review. For example, a family can ask for a review if accepting the offer will result in overcrowding. Other reasons may include the property needing repairs, unsuitable facilities, wrong property type or distance from children's school.

Those suspended from the housing register for unreasonable refusal of an offer of accommodation can also ask for a review.

How do I request a review?

Applicants must request a review form, which explains in detail the review procedure and time limits. Reviews are completed by the principal reviews officer or another manager from Rehousing Services. We will take a fresh look at the case and take into account all of the factors an applicant presents.
