Finding a home

Haringey, like many London boroughs, has a diverse range of housing and accommodation. Our aim is to ensure that all residents have the opportunity to live in good quality, affordable homes in safe, sustainable communities.

Within the borough the Council is the largest single landlord, with a number of other registered social landlords such as housing associations also providing accommodation.

Most aspects of council housing now fall under Homes for Haringey (external link), an arms-length management organisation where tenants and leaseholders sit on the board of directors alongside councillors and independently selected people.

The Council allocates most homes through a choice based lettings scheme, called Home Connections. It's now the only way for you to access a permanent home to rent from our stock managed by Homes for Haringey or a housing association property.

You will also find information about our lettings scheme for new tenants and transfer opportunities for existing tenants.

There are also links to other websites which offer ways of finding a new home.
