Temporary Accommodation
If you have been made homeless, or are about to be made homeless, as a last resort the Council will try to find you temporary accommodation until your application for housing has been dealt with. During this time, you will be supported by the Temporary Accommodation Team.

Haringey's Temporary Accommodation Team provides a high standard of housing management service to homeless households living in Private Sector Leased (PSLs) accommodation and Council owned hostels.
The Temporary Accommodation Team has housing management responsibility for tenants in around 2200 PSLs and 320 hostel units.
They also jointly manage tenants living in B& B licensed accommodation with licensors.
Other services the Temporary Accommodation Team provide to homeless households are:
- helping people in homeless households to sustain their tenancies by working in partnership with internal departments,support agencies and external organisations.
- Working closely with Housing Association partners to assist those of you that are tenants in HALs accommodation where the tenancy is coming to an end.
- Acting as a liaison between landlords and tenants.
- Ensuring decent homes standards are met.
