Electric Vehicle Charging Scheme

12 Electric Vehicle Charging points have now been installed within five car parks across the borough.

To use the charging points you will need to join the Electric Vehicle Charging Scheme for an annual administration fee of £50. In return you will be provided with:

a charging lead
an access tag to use the charging points
a permit to park in the 12 electric charging bays

The permit will enable you to park an electric vehicle in any of the 12 charging bays for the purpose of recharging electric vehicles for a maximum of four hours each day.

The electricity you use to charge your vehicle will be free of charge.

If your vehicle has been charged for the maximum four hours the vehicle must not be returned to the same charging bay on the same day.

Electric vehicle Charging Points are located within the following 5 car parks.

N17 Bruce Grove	Stoneleigh Road car park	Two charging point spaces
N10 Muswell Hill;	Summerland Gardens car park	Two charging point spaces

Note an additional charging point will be installed in Crouch Hall Road car park, Crouch End, N8 in October 2009.

Joining the Electric Vehicle Charging Scheme

User and maintenance issues regarding the charging points
Any user or maintenance issues regarding the charging bays should be directed to Elektromotive on 01273 704 775 or 0871 98 48 844.

Expansion of charging point facilities
Additional electric charging points will be installed throughout 2010 at on street locations in the borough's town centres and in off street car parks.

Council officers are currently surveying other possible locations across the borough and priority will be given to town centre locations, transport interchanges such as railway stations, locations in employment areas and near leisure facilities.
