Road safety

Image of 20mph zoneThe Council promotes road safety through education and training and by introducing road safety schemes. Most of these schemes are funded by Transport for London (see external links section below) and have to meet their funding criteria.

Reducing road accidents is one of our targets in our Local Public Service Agreement. An outline of how we plan to meet these targets is set out in the Road Safety Plan, a copy of which is available by contacting the Frontline Services Business Support Team.
