Litter Pick Service

Haringey Council recognises that the cleanliness of the borough's streets is very important to residents.

To help keep the streets looking clean and tidy, a new litter pick service has been introduced to complement the existing street sweeping arrangements.

Every street in the borough now receives a special litter pick every week, in addition to the existing sweep. This should help to keep the streets looking tidier, and make it easier for the street sweepers to remove leaves and detritus.

The litter pick service was originally introduced as a trial in five wards. Residents in these wards were sent letters about the new service, and were also asked to return feedback cards so that the council could see whether the extra litter pick was making a difference.
