What to recycle in your green box

From 1 October 2009 a wider range of materials can be recycled.

Mixed recycling boxOn this page you will find a more detailed list of what can (and cannot) be recycled using your green box.

The green boxes can be used to recycle:

This page covers these materials in more detail. All of these items should be put into the same green box, as we collect them together and sort them out later on.

There are items that you can recycle through other services or recycling facilities. Please visit the Recycling A to Z page for more information about how to reuse, recycle or dispose of a wide range of materials.
